About us

Capriccio Singers are a mixed voice choir of 14 singers and are based in Wirral.  We were formed in 1991 in Southport by our present Musical Director Susan Acty, and perform throughout the Wirral, Liverpool, Merseyside and Cheshire areas.

We love performing together as a group and are available for hire to add that special touch to your event, no matter how big or small.  Why not contact us to discuss your requirements via our CONTACT page and send us a message to find out how we can make your event unique.

You can also listen to some of our sample tracks by visiting our RECORDINGS page, or why not see us live in concert - we'd love to see you!

We are currently auditioning for the Tenor and Bass section of the choir, please use our CONTACT page to send us a message for further details.

Our current choir membership is drawn from the Wirral, Liverpool and surrounding areas of Merseyside and we enjoy performing a wide repertoire of music to suit all tastes.  Some of our favourites include romantic and modern pieces, Victorian part songs, sacred music, "classics" and songs from the shows.

We have sung in many beautiful buildings and venues over the years throughout the UK, including cathedrals and historic churches such as Liverpool, Carlisle, Durham, St Asaph, Gloucester and Tewksbury Abbey to name just a few.  We have also undertaken several trips abroad to give recitals.  Our most recent trip was to Madrid in October 2016, where we performed an evening concert and Eucharist service in St Georges Church.  Prior to this we visited the beautiful city of Prague and performed in Prague Cathedral, and St Nicholas Church.

In spring 2014, we were privileged to be chosen to star on stage at the Liverpool Empire with the Actors Touring Company with their production of The Events, written by David Greig.

This however, wasn't our first appearance on stage. In October 2009 we were the support choir for Spymonkey's production of Moby Dick at the Playhouse Theatre in Liverpool.

Why not come and see us perform live in concert, visit our CONCERT page to find out more.
